Who we are:

Calm Oasis Holistic Therapy is an English based business offering a purely online service to students internationally.  As such we do not have a commercial address.  Our website address is: https://www.calmoasisinternational.com/ and we can be contacted through our email provision.

Limitation of Liability 

YOU AGREE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICE. ADDITIONALLY, DEBORAH CASEY and/or CALM OASIS HOLISTIC THERAPY IS NOT LIABLE FOR DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH (I) ANY FAILURE OF PERFORMANCE, ERROR, OMISSION, DENIAL OF SERVICE, ATTACK, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, COMPUTER VIRUS OR LINE OR SYSTEM FAILURE; (II) LOSS OF REVENUE, ANTICIPATED PROFITS, BUSINESS, SAVINGS, GOODWILL OR DATA; AND (III) THIRD PARTY THEFT OF, DESTRUCTION OF, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, ALTERATION OF, OR USE OF YOUR INFORMATION OR PROPERTY, REGARDLESS OF OUR NEGLIGENCE, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, FAILURE OF AN ESSENTIAL PURPOSE AND WHETHER SUCH LIABILITY ARISES IN NEGLIGENCE, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LEGAL LIABILITY. THE FOREGOING APPLIES EVEN IF DEBORAH CASEY and/or CALM OASIS HOLISTIC THERAPY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF OR COULD HAVE FORESEEN THE DAMAGES. IN THOSE STATES THAT DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR THE DAMAGES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST POSSIBLE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN NO EVENT SHALL DEBORAH CASEY or CALM OASIS HOLISTIC THERAPY CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED £100.

 

What this notice does not cover:

Our courses are offered through and provided on an American hosting platform called Udemy whose terms and policies must be read in accordance with out own.  Please read their policy.  Udemy privacy policy

 

What data do we collect?

When using our online service we may ask for and collect, store and use your personal data.

This might include:

  • your name

  • your email address

  • your postcode

  • the country you live in

  • your IP address

  • information about how you use our emails

  • information on how you use the site

 

How we collect your personal data

Where you provide personal information via our website, it will only be used for the services you requested and as specified on the relevant pages of the site.

We collect your personal data when you:

  • make payments for services such as joining our Natural Well-being Society

  • responding to requests, including refunds and complaints

  • where applicable set up a store account for our products

  • we will generally store your information for as long as it is necessary and where applicable such as online purchases, 6 years for tax purposes

  • Agree to receive communications such as newsletters or marketing material​

 

When do we share your personal data?

We use external services to manage your purchases and as such share your personal data. It is presumed that you consent to this where you are making a purchase.  We will never share or sell your personal data to other organisations for direct marketing purposes.  We will notify you of whom your personal data will be shared with and where it is stored.

How long do we keep your data for?

We will keep your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected. In most cases, a retention period will apply which of 12 months but where purchases are made 6 years for tax purposes.  After this period, the personal data will be disposed of securely.

We will ensure you can exercise your rights in relation to the personal data you provide to us.

  • Where we are relying on your consent to use your personal data, you can withdraw that consent or unsubscribe from our services at any time. Instructions are provided when we collect your data.

  • You can request access to the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us and making a request which we will endeavour to reply to promptly.

  • If your information changes you can request that we update this.  In some circumstances you can request erasure of your information or to stop or restrict use or processing of your information

  • In certain circumstances, you can ask for a copy of your information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This is to allow you to obtain and reuse your personal data for your own purposes across different services (the right to data portability).

  • If you have any privacy-related questions or unresolved problems relating to the use of your personal data, you should contact the service area you are engaged with in the first instance.
